On February 17, 2026, the ICSO team conducted a meeting with village authorities, committee members, and representatives of the Charay Indigenous Community in Lae Village, LomChor Commune, O’Yadav District, Ratanakiri Province to discuss the installation of a solar-powered water pumping system.
During the meeting, village authorities, committee members, and community members expressed their strong commitment and collaboration in constructing the concrete water tanks to support the system. At present, there is no plan to install a household-level water distribution network to individual homes. Instead, the community has agreed to access water from a shared collection point.
A total of 26 participants attended the meeting (18 women) reflecting active community engagement and meaningful participation of women in the discussion and decision-making process.
